Announcement- Mike And Mad Dog Show Is Done

Neil Best of Newsday is reporting that WFAN Radio announced tonight that Chris “Mad Dog” Russo is leaving WFAN. Mike Francesa will do the show on the Mets flagship station by himself for now after the 18 year partnership has ended.

“Mike and Chris pioneered the genre more than 18 years ago and have shaped the sports talk format into what it is today,” WFAN operations director Mark Chernoff said in a statement.

“As we embark on this next step in WFAN’s history, we wish Chris nothing but the best and look forward to all that Mike will do in a role in which he has excelled at for years.”

The report says that Chris Russo is expected to move to Sirius satellite radio.

saw ed coleman with pedro on saturday at the hotel. he was not exactly mr. warmth. I waited for Pedro to leave and asked him a question, he completely disregarded my family and I. some people take themselves way too seriously

Robin, I was curious to hear how your trip to Pittsburgh went. Sorry to hear that about Pedro. He’s always the joker in the dugout but can’t say hello to a fan? That’s ridiculous.

Pedro was actually cool. my 13 year old nephew said hi to him in elevator on Sunday morning. Ed Coleman was the A$$ on Saturday, there are some photos posted too Dave, I will be getting a new Photo posting service very soon, and i will post more pix of PNC Park and the Mets, I can say this.. I cannot wait for Citi Field to open, but I cannot imagine a more spectacular place and ballpark than PNC Park is. A Pirate fan told me something funny he said “welcome to Pittsburgh, the home of champions–and the pirates” the Park is spectacular in so many ways. BTW Mike Pelfrey was cool to fans as well, he signed autographs, The security guards at the hotel act like it was a presidential visit however.
