Mets 5 – Twins 2 June 25, 2010

June 13, 2010: David Wright for the New York Mets in action during an interleague game against the hometown Baltimore Orioles at Oriole Park at Camden Yards in Baltimore, Maryland. The Mets completed the 3-game sweep by beating the Orioles 11 - 4.

The Mets got another solid start tonight from Mike Pelfrey despite the fact that he didn’t seem to be at his best again. That’s the sign of him maturing. He went 6 IP and gave up only 2 runs. Pelfrey gave up a leadoff home run to Denard Span and gave up 6 hits but didn’t walk anyone.

The Mets offense really capitalized on their opportunities. They had 7 hits and 1 walk. David Wright had a big game going 2 for 3 with 2 runs, 2 RBI’s, and a solo home run to right field. His average is up to .298 for the season and he now has 59 RBI’s.

The Mets stay hot at home and have a chance to take another series this weekend.

Although I don’t have a degree in journalism, I love writing about the New York Mets. I’m the typical writer without access. My only accessibility to the Mets is sitting in the stands (often the upper tank) and watching on TV like most fans. I’m not a member of the media, just a fan expressing opinions.
