Mets Lunch Links August 5th Edition- Beltran, Aurilia, and More

As the Mets prepare for their seven game home stand this week, I thought it was a good time for some links to read while having lunch. No game yesterday means no post game interviews to dissect. Onto the links…

  • Sean McAdam of ESPN sizes up the divisions. He gives the Mets the edge on paper in the NL East. And the Mets schedule is very favorable over the last two months compared to the Phillies and Marlins.
  • Tim Dierkes at MLB Trade Rumors posts a link to the San Jose Mercury News talking about a Mets official following the San Francisco Giants to scout Rich Aurilia. The last thing the Mets need is another infielder. That doesn’t make sense to me.
  • Tim Marchman of the New York Sun agrees with me that Carlos Beltran is having a good season and is a terrific player.

Have a good lunch and enjoy the links.

Although I don’t have a degree in journalism, I love writing about the New York Mets. I’m the typical writer without access. My only accessibility to the Mets is sitting in the stands (often the upper tank) and watching on TV like most fans. I’m not a member of the media, just a fan expressing opinions.
