Mets Stifled By Nats Lannan 7-2

Pedro Martinez was very hittable again going six innings and giving up four runs. As usual, he gave up one in the first. The Mets always start the game in the hole when Pedro pitches.

The Nats’ John Lannan pitched extremely well going seven innings giving up only one run.

The Mets had little offense to speak of so I won’t even bother. They’ve now lost three of their last four games and the NL East lead is down to .5 game.

My only accessibility to the Mets is sitting in the stands (often the upper tank) and watching on TV like most fans. I’m not a member of the media, just a fan expressing opinions.

  1. Good question-
6-5 since Castillo came back (in games he’s played)
12-8 since Church came back (in games he’s played)

The word is that Castillo is trade bait after the season. The Mets have their eyes on Orlando Hudson in free agency.
