Reader Poll Results

The results are in and the poll is now off-line. The poll question was “Will Willie Randolph be fired during the 2008 season?”. I was curious to see which way the wind was blowing with the fans. The readers responded:

  • Yes- 30%
  • No- 60%
  • Maybe- 10%

What I get from that is that 40% of the respondents think that Willie will or might be fired during this season. That’s a pretty high percentage. It’s actually higher than I thought it would be when I posted that poll.

I’m in the “maybe” group. If the Mets aren’t playing well at the All-Star break I think it’s likely that he’ll be let go considering the way the season ended last year, and the fan backlash that’s continued into this season.

Thanks to all of you that participated.

My only accessibility to the Mets is sitting in the stands (often the upper tank) and watching on TV like most fans. I’m not a member of the media, just a fan expressing opinions.
