Mets Sign Bartolo Colon

bartolo colonThe Mets finalized a 2-year/$20 million contract with Bartolo Colon yesterday. He’s over 40 years old and has been suspended for PED use in the past. But it’ll help get the Mets through the 2014 season without Matt Harvey. Colon had a big year with the A’s last season with 18 wins and a 2.65 ERA.

We’ll see if Colon can duplicate his performance with the Mets. Even if he gets 9 or 10 wins with an ERA under 4.00, that would be a win for the Mets.

About Dave Doyle

Although I don’t have a degree in journalism, I love writing about the New York Mets. I’m the typical writer without access. My only accessibility to the Mets is sitting in the stands (often the upper tank) and watching on TV like most fans. I’m not a member of the media, just a fan expressing opinions.
